Upcoming Meeting - The November Auction! (6)
Click here to see the items up for grabs in what has become a favourite meeting at the MVSMC. Other items include: #1 – [Alex] A selection of Yachting issues from WW II. One issue, opened here, has an article on the Newburyport ship Sarah Newman. #2 – [Alex] A small professionally made glass case, would be a suitable size for Bluejacket tug Lackawanna or A J Fisher trawler #3 – [Alex] Sailing Dingy kit from Wooden Boat. Given to me by an old college friend trying to simplify his life, this kit may or may not be complete. It's a little out of my line. Instructions look very thorough. Pictures in the instructions appear to be of the construction of a full size dingy, or else made by a very small individual. #4 – [Marshall] Solid hull Boucher model. This is an older kit with a copyright date of 1948. Not sure if all the pieces are there but the majority of the parts seem to be there. Instructions provided on a single sheet. #5 – [Cap] Harbor Tug – this radio controlled model is partially constructed but the modeler passed away before he could complete it. The kit is believed to be complete. #6 – [Cap] Miscellaneous items including a Tug Boat solid hull; small model case and drafting templates #7 – [Bill P.] Mystery bag from Bill’s #8 – [Bill P.] Bluenose solid hull kit. This is a very nice kit. It seems to be a complete, with an excellently shaped hull. #9 - [Bill P.] 2 Boxes of documents – This includes hardcover sailing books and various other nautical publications – this will need to be broken out some how. -

Your intrepid Webmaster missed December's meeting due to illness. I arrived in time to come under fire from Tony's fully armed (and armatured) crew. Also flying around were two renditions of the new "Neill" kits, a clever jig for taking hull lines from a half-hull carving, carefully detailed hulls of the Wasp and Bounty, and Alex's latest take on pocket-sized Constitutions. -
