whole crew.jpg
As Dick explains the captive electronics on his hull, an inquisitive crew looks on to see if they can help.

"The Saga of the Wasp"
Cap continues with some pretty sharp-looking planking. Notice the complete separation at the waterline. Yes, it's intentional.
-
Constitution
Alex has completed another magnum opus - Old Ironsides as rigged for her many triumphs during the War of 1812. She will be displayed at the NRG show.

Constitution - as presented
Notice the correct spelling of the ship's name on the brass plaque. This happened against the less-than helpful suggestions of the young lady at the engraver's, whose appreciation of American Naval History was exceded only by her acumen with the English language.

Sterno and go!
This would be a sterno-wheeler? Dick's hand-crafted boiler is as beautiful as it is functional.
-
How the heck do we get out?
The servos and gear aft of the cockpit have signed up for the whole voyage - as in, until Dick works up the nerve to split the hull in half and retrieve them!
-
Marc-ie looking Sharpie!
Competitors beware! The years-old race to actually complete this kit has heated up with Marc's beautifully stained deck and well-painted furniture.

Like shooting a fishing boat in a bottle...
Fishing boats are all the rage, and Alex has a clever tri-partite hull in mind for this to-be-bottled model. Note the final hull section on the table in the lower right.

America the beautiful
Alan's been dreaming of yachting weather as he works on his lovely "America" hull and pedastals.

Jim's debut!
A hearty "welcome aboard" to Jim Mitchell, a son of sea captains and fisher-folk from the celebrated village of Eastport, ME. Jim is showing off here his well-executed first ship model! The name of this vessel? "Anna" - his granddaughter who was being born while Jim was at the meeting with us! With a wide smile and a good eye for detail, Jim's a welcome addition to the club. Now to get someone who can stencil this little girl's name on the bow - Jim's arms will be busy holding her for a while. Volunteers should contact Jim (via Bill Partridge).
